A TRILLION PIECE PERFORMANCE, 221 YEARS IN THE MAKING

In Spring 2024, two cicada broods co-emerged in the loudest natural invasion of our lifetime. Instead of getting rid of them, Orkin turned their shrieking invasion into a musical masterpiece.

Emmy-nominated composer, Bryan Rheude, composed a 7-act, 45-minute symphony using the science & sounds of cicadas, telling the story of their life cycle through music.

It was performed live concert at the epicenter of the cicada emergence, and live-streamed for the world to see on TikTok.
